THE PERSON BEHIND THE PROJECTS
Hi, I’m ZetaScrub.
You can call me Thomas. I’m a UK-based Senior Penetration Tester. I’m interested in the space between how a security control is meant to work and what happens when someone actually puts it to the test.
Outside assessments, I build tools and embedded devices because I like understanding a problem all the way down to the hardware. This site is where I share the work, the decisions behind it, and what I learned along the way.

MY BACKGROUND
Curiosity became a career.
Sharing what I learn has been part of that journey. I’ve delivered talks and a webinar on physical security, and helped run hackathons for schools and universities. I like making technical ideas tangible and giving people a chance to explore them for themselves.
Today, my work spans infrastructure, wireless, web applications, and the physical side of security. I’m drawn to tools that take the repetition out of an assessment while leaving the decisions with the person doing it.
That thinking carries into my side projects. A pocket device, a desktop workflow, or a piece of automation is only useful if its boundaries are clear and its results can be trusted.
BEYOND SECURITY
Always making something.
Outside work, I enjoy hands-on hardware projects, gaming, and creating stories and tabletop worlds. The same curiosity that draws me to security tends to follow me into those interests too.
